Honouring a woman who believed in education.
Elizabeth Yaa Mansa never had the chance to continue her schooling. This foundation exists so that committed students can.
Our story
From Kwahu-Atibe, a belief that outlived her.

This foundation is dedicated to the loving memory of Elizabeth Yaa Mansa, an astute and loving woman who always stressed the need for education as a vehicle for personal development and community transformation.
Coming from a village in Kwahu-Atibe in the Eastern Region of Ghana, she only achieved a 3rd-grade level education due to the lack of financial resources and societal attitudes toward the value of educating the girl child. She would often speak of her desire to continue her education, as it held more than just monetary value. She viewed it as the foundational framework of individuals, whose attitudes and mindsets inform the framework of broader society.
It is in this spirit that this foundation was established: to honour and actualise the value Elizabeth placed on education as a vehicle of change, individually and communally. Our aim is to create a pipeline of qualified and dedicated professionals who will fill the professional spaces required to aid the advancement of Ghana.
As Elizabeth believed, providing this support, with consistent effort, can lead to change that transforms communities, and furthermore, a nation.
Elizabeth saw education as more than monetary value. She saw it as the foundational framework of individuals, whose mindsets shape the society around them.
