Our story

A 3rd-grade education. A lifetime belief in learning.

This foundation is dedicated to the loving memory of Elizabeth Yaa Mansa, an astute and loving woman who always stressed the need for education as a vehicle for personal development and community transformation.

Coming from a village in Kwahu-Atibe in the Eastern Region of Ghana, she only achieved a 3rd-grade level education due to the lack of financial resources and societal attitudes toward the value of educating the girl child. She would often speak of her desire to continue her education, as it held more than just monetary value. She viewed it as the foundational framework of individuals, whose attitudes and mindsets inform the framework of broader society.
